POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Performs a variety of tasks requiring cooking skills in the preparation, service, and clean up for meals served to patients and staffin the nursing center and other special events.
GENERAL DUTIES
Prepares and cooks food as directed by the food service director
Prepares and labels nourishments according to center procedures
Serves and portions meals in an appealing manner
Follows production sheets and pre-preparation sheets or guidelines when appropriate
QUALIFICATIONS
The dietary cook candidate will have good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to read and understand English for business necessity.
Basic understanding of sanitation, organization and safety.
Prior experience in food service and preparation.
Prior experience in long-term care preferred
