Shipping & Receiving Supervisor

The Shipping & Receiving Supervisor is responsible for supervising a small group of workers who confirm & record the receipt of shipments; prepare items for shipping; load and unload trucks; and transport materials to and from departments in a manufacturing setting. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures and is responsible to ensure the team adheres to them. The Shipping & Receiving group is characterized by highly transactional and repetitive processes.

Essential Functions

• Supervise a small group of workers in the shipping & receiving department
• Manage the inter-departmental transport of materials
• Oversee the shipping & receiving functions of the department
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the group
• Ensures adherence to departmental policies & procedures
• Maintains a safe work environment by following Company safety protocols

Required Skills & Knowledge

• Prior experience using an ERP System (SAP, Syteline, Etc.)
• Experience using Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Previous experience supervising employees
• Previous experience working in a manufacturing and/or Warehouse
• Strong communication skills (Verbal & written)
• Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects
• Highly organized

Required Education & Experience

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum of two years' experience in a manufacturing and/or warehouse environment
• Minimum of one year of experience supervising employees
• Certified to operate a forklift

Preferred Education & Experience

• Previous experience in similar type role
• Previous experience with SAP

Physical Demands/ Equipment Used to Perform the Job

• Position is in a climate controlled office within a warehouse environment which can have fluctuating temperatures through the seasons
• Able to use a keyboard and view a monitor
• Ability to walk around a manufacturing facility with machines with moving parts
• Able to walk through a warehouse and reach above head
• Able to lift up to 35lbs.

First Shift - 6am - 2:30pm
