We bring together public, private, and community partners in a collaborative, child-focused environment to ensure families receive compassionate, coordinated careWe deeply value our clinicians and are committed to maintaining strong work-life balance, providing meaningful clinical support, and fostering a connected, supportive team culturePOSITION SUMMARY:The Therapist provides trauma-informed counseling services to children and adolescents who have experienced abuse or other traumatic events, as well as their supportive caregivers. This role focuses on helping children and families feel safe, reduce trauma-related symptoms, build healthy coping skills, strengthen relationships, and support long-term healing. Services may include individual therapy with the child, caregiver sessions, and family therapy. Treatment is delivered using evidence-based, strengths-based approaches tailored to each child and family. Our therapists maintain a thoughtfully managed, low client load to support high-quality care and reduce burnoutWHAT YOU'LL DO:Provide trauma-informed assessments and therapy to children and their non-offending caregivers and family membersDevelop individualized, strengths-based treatment plans with clear goals and measurable outcomesProvide opportunity to deliver psychoeducation to caregivers to enhance their ability to nurture, protect, and support their child's healingCollaborate closely with Child Family Advocates and members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated careMaintain timely, accurate documentation of services providedParticipate in multidisciplinary team meetings to contribute clinical insight and promote best outcomes for children and familiesMaintain awareness of community resources and make appropriate referrals when neededParticipate in community education and outreach as a trusted resource on child safety and trauma recoveryAttend ongoing trainings and supervision to maintain licensure and meet accreditation standardsFulfill mandatory reporting responsibilities as required by Kansas lawSupport the mission, values, and collaborative culture of the CACOccasionally, therapists may be asked to participate in court proceedings related to a client's caseWHY YOU'LL LOVE WORKING HERE:Collaborative Team EnvironmentOur CAC model emphasizes partnership and communication. Evening hours are not required but may be available for those who prefer themThere is no overtime — schedules are flexed as neededLow Client LoadWe intentionally maintain a reduced caseload so clinicians can provide thoughtful, high-quality care while minimizing burnoutClinical Support & Professional GrowthWe provide strong clinical supervision and financial support for professional growth. This includes financial assistance for supervision hours and additional certificationsOur agency coordinates obtaining certification in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) training and covers the costs associated with that trainingOpportunity to participate in or co-facilitate PSB (Problematic Sexual Behavior) groups, based on interest and trainingWe also coordinate ongoing professional development opportunities for our therapists — clinicians are supported by leadership in identifying, arranging, and accessing trainings rather than navigating that process alonePositive Workplace CultureWe believe meaningful work should be sustainable and supported. Our team enjoys agency activities, staff appreciation events, morale-building gatherings, and opportunities to connect outside of daily responsibilitiesWORK SCHEDULE:Flexible scheduling with support to create a schedule that fits your needsEvening hours are not required but may be available if preferredNo overtime; schedules are flexed as neededQUALIFICATIONS:Education & Licensure:Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a closely related human services fieldLicensed through the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board (BSRB)Maintain all required licensure and continuing educationSkills & Experience:Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsInterest in working with children and adolescents ages 3 through 18Ability to identify and create a comfortable age range based on clinician preference and expertiseAbility to work effectively within a multidisciplinary teamCOMPENSATION & BENEFITS:Job Type: Full-timeBase Pay: $65,000 - $80,000 per yearWe offer an incentive plan that allows clinicians to increase their salary based on billable hours.
