Role Overview
The Industrial Engineer will analyze, design, and optimize production workflows, equipment layouts, labor utilization, and product flow in an aerospace manufacturing environment. This role involves hands-on process improvement, time studies, capacity analysis, and continuous optimization of shop-floor operations.
Key Responsibilities
✔ Analyze and design sequence of operations and workflow to improve production efficiency
✔ Optimize equipment layouts, workstations, and plant flow for maximum productivity
✔ Establish methods to maximize utilization of production facilities, tools, and personnel
✔ Support accident-prevention measures and safety improvement initiatives
✔ Conduct studies related to cost control, cost reduction, inventory management, and production records
✔ Develop and implement optimized product flow based on data analysis
✔ Assist facilities engineering in planning and designing new/modified facilities
✔ Develop and provide time standards, standard work, and work instructions for shop-floor operations
✔ Perform capacity analysis, tool/equipment utilization studies, and line balancing
✔ Conduct trend analysis of production KPIs to identify improvement opportunities
✔ Support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Kaizen, 5S, etc.)
✔ Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Quality, and Operations teams to drive efficiency
Mandatory Skills & Qualifications
🔹 BE/BTech/MTech/MS in Aerospace / Industrial / Mechanical Engineering
🔹 1–3 years of hands-on experience in Industrial Engineering
🔹 Strong aerospace domain understanding
🔹 Practical experience with:
• Time studies
• Line balancing
• Capacity planning
• Production layout optimization
• Shop-floor process improvement
🔹 Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles
🔹 Strong analytical and documentation skills
Nice-to-Have
✨ Experience in composite or metallic aerospace manufacturing
✨ Exposure to SAP, MES, or production monitoring systems
✨ Familiarity with FAA/EASA-regulated work environments
