Wichita State University's Community Engagement Institute (CEI) is seeking a public health data specialist to join the LHD AoS National Librarian Team. This role combines facilitation, public health data expertise, and hands-on implementation to strengthen LHD AoS impact and sustainability nationwide.Responsibilities • Facilitate collaboration and partnerships within the LHD AoS National Librarian Team and with local health departments.• Apply public health data expertise to support data-driven decision-making and program implementation.• Contribute to the design, development, and dissemination of tools, curricula, or training for distributed audiences.• Support ongoing evaluation and sustainability efforts to strengthen LHD AoS impact nationwide.Required Education This is specific to each position and department. See additional requirements and/or preferences.Additional RequirementsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in public health, epidemiology, data science, library science, or related field (Master's preferred)3+ years of experience in public health program management, data management, or national initiativesExperience with survey design and/or public health dataKnowledge of evaluation design and data-driven decision-makingStrong facilitation and relationship-building skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience with local or state health departmentsFamiliarity with national public health organizations (NACCHO, ASTHO, CSTE, CDC)Experience onboarding teams or programs across multiple jurisdictionsExperience developing tools, curricula, or training for distributed audiencesPhysical Requirements Ability to remain in a stationary position. Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment including but not limited to phone, printers, copiers, and calculators.
