Senior Accountant - RemoteAbout the RoleWe are a global organization headquartered in France seeking a Senior Accountant to support our North American finance operations. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional with strong expertise in the full accounting cycle, multi-state operations, and collaboration within a multinational environment.As a key contributor, you will ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across financial reporting, payroll reconciliation, and accounting processes while partnering closely with internal stakeholders and shared service teams.Key ResponsibilitiesInvolved in the full end-to-end accounting cycle for North American entities, including general ledger entries and analysis, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and intercompany transactionsPrepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAPSupport month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and variance analysisPerform and review balance sheet reconciliations, including bank and payroll-related reconciliations, and resolve discrepancies in a timely mannerReview and reconcile payroll transactions in partnership with HR and payroll providers, including oversight of multi-state payroll tax activitySupport preparation and review of required state payroll tax filings and annual state reportingEnsure compliance with internal controls, corporate accounting policies, and local statutory requirementsCollaborate with internal stakeholders and shared service centers across multiple regions and time zonesAssist with internal and external audits, including preparation of supporting documentationSupport group reporting, consolidation activities, and ad hoc financial analysesIdentify and drive continuous improvement initiatives across accounting processes, systems, and controlsParticipate in special projects and perform additional duties as neededQualifications and ExperienceCPA designation preferred5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a multi-entity or multinational environmentStrong, hands‑on knowledge of the full accounting cycleSolid understanding of U.S. GAAPExperience reviewing payroll activity and working with payroll providers in a multi-state environmentExperience working with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Business Central, ADP or similar platforms)Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with financial reporting or consolidation tools a plusKey CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem‑solving skillsHigh attention to detail with a commitment to accuracyAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environmentStrong communication, organizational, and collaboration skillsComfortable working across teams, functions, and time zonesWhat We OfferCompetitive CompensationHybrid ScheduleComprehensive Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, and additional voluntary benefitsPaid Time Off: Four weeks annuallySupportive Team Culture: Work with a collaborative, multinational finance team#J-18808-Ljbffr
