Take2 is hiring a clearable Computer Technician. This role requires you to be eligible to pass a secure background investigation. This position is fully onsite and will require you to work out of Wichita, KS.

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Computer Technician to support our deployment and maintenance of computer equipment at our clients facility. This role involves servicing, imaging, and installing desktops, laptops, and peripherals across our campus. The technician will play a vital part in ensuring smooth deployment projects, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and providing excellent customer service to our internal teams. Work Arrangement

This is an onsite position located at 3355 S Oliver ST Building 1-355C, KS. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from approximately 8 am to 5 pm, with a 1-hour unpaid lunch, totaling a 40-hour workweek.

Responsibilities

  • Unpack, inspect, and verify new client systems and peripherals for damage or discrepancies.
  • Move and install equipment, including pallets weighing up to 50 pounds, around the campus using customer-provided scooters or golf carts.
  • Connect and configure new systems, including plugging in power and network cables, booting devices, and verifying network connectivity.
  • Perform imaging, configuration, and deployment of up to 30 devices per day, following customer policies.
  • Remove legacy systems and transport equipment to designated storage areas.
  • Conduct routine troubleshooting, hardware support, and system upgrades for desktops, laptops, and printers.
  • Document deployment activities and system configurations accurately in logs.
  • Assist with hardware break-fix support and system refresh projects.
  • Support the setup and deinstallation of client systems, ensuring proper organization and cleanup after deployment.
  • Drive company-provided scooters or golf carts to transport equipment across campus as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience servicing and deploying computer equipment.
  • Proven experience with data migration, imaging, application installation, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with hardware and software support, including troubleshooting and system imaging.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Valid driver's license to operate customer-provided scooters or golf carts.
  • High School diploma or GED.

Desired Skills

  • A+ certification or equivalent skill set.
  • Certifications such as MCP, MCSE, CNE, or Network+ are a plus.
  • Experience with hardware platforms and network troubleshooting.
  • Ability to perform routine system administration tasks.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
