Hospitality Assistant
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Reports to Executive Assistant to Senior Administrative Pastor
Grade I ($12.40 - $17.90 Based on experience and qualification)

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The Hospitality Assistant provides support for hospitality events. Assists with the organization and inventory of campus kitchens, supplies, and working with hospitality volunteers.

The incumbent must perform all job duties as outlined in this job description to support ongoing mission of the church while committed in accordance with the Baptist Faith and Message (2000 edition).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
• Assists with hospitality preparation, service, and clean-up as directed. (app. 50%)
• Assists with the inventory and organization of all campus kitchens. (app. 20%)
• Assists with scheduling volunteers for hospitality events. Assists in communicating with volunteers the tasks needed to accomplish the goals of the ministry and event. (app. 15%)
• Assists with hospitality initiatives under the Senior Administrative Pastor and the Executive Assistant to Senior Administrative Pastor. (app. 10%)
• Assists the Executive Assistant to Senior Administrative Pastor with various special projects for Family Ministry. (app. 5%)

These duties are subject to change as church needs and strategies evolve. Employee may be required to perform other duties.

Requirements

EDUCATION/TRAINING• A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.EXPERIENCE
• A minimum of 1-2 years' experience in similar duties.

• Computer proficiency, knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, and preferred knowledge of Planning Center and Basecamp.
• Proficient knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation standards.
• Basic math skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands:

• Ascend and descend stairs and/or ramps.
• Communicates verbally with others to exchange information.
• Remain in stationary position, often sitting/standing for prolonged periods.
• View and operate technological devices.
• Move self in different positions to accomplish tasks.
• Lift, carry, and move up to 45 pounds.
• Accomplishes tasks using near field of vision.
• Manual dexterity to accomplish meal prep, cooking, serving, and typing tasks.
• Ability to reach at, below, and above shoulder level.
• Balance and coordination.
• Push working cart loaded with up to 50 pounds of various materials.

WORKING CONDITIONS
• This position works primarily indoors.
