Manager, ATM & Cash Operations

Description:

As the ATM & Cash Operations Manager within UMB's Bank Operations organization, you will have day-to-day responsibility for overseeing the performance and risk management of the UMB's ATM (automated teller machine) network and cash operations. This includes securing efficient and compliant cash distribution, ATM network availability, and manage vendor services. You will manage a staff dedicated to ATM and Cash operations. You will also drive operational excellence across ATM fleet management, vendor coordination, and cash logistics, as well as own and evolve the long-term ATM channel strategy, including growth, modernization, and optimization initiatives. This is a subset of the overall responsibilities which will include multiple initiatives as assigned by Bank Operations leadership.

This role is hybrid (Mon through Thu on-site / Fri remote) at the UMB Technology & Operations Center located in downtown Kansas City, MO.

How you'll spend your time:

  • Propose, justify and implement functionality enhancements.
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for the bank's ATM network, including uptime, cash availability, balancing, and dispute resolution.
  • Ensure accurate cash balancing, settlement, and general ledger reconciliation across all cash channels.
  • Maintain strong internal controls to prevent fraud, theft, and operational errors.
  • Work with internal partners and external vendors to implement the operational strategy.
  • Provide input into marketing and other related customer experience activities.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of operational efficiencies.
  • Exercise the usual authority of a manager concerning staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations, and terminations.
We're excited to talk if you have:
  • At least 5 years of bank experience with demonstrated knowledge in ATM Operations, Cash Operations, Bank Operations or other bank channels.
  • Successful experience in managing and developing people.
  • Project management experience.
  • Knowledge of consumer banking systems, policies/procedures, and regulations.
  • Ability to present and convey information to influence individuals at varying levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge and understanding of audit and compliance.
Bonus Points if you have:
  • Advanced knowledge and proficiency in ATM, Cash, an Bank Operations.
  • Strong understanding of banking systems, policies/procedures, and regulations.
  • Proven and established skills in leading teams.

Compensation Range:
$83,200.00 - $178,800.00

The posted compensation range on this listing represents UMB's standard for this role, but the actual compensation may vary by geographic location, experience level, and other job-related factors.
