Communicates and resolves Quality related issues in a fast paced manufacturing environment by performing 1st part and final inspections as necessary. Supports the Quality and Manufacturing functions by educating employees on quality systems, quality metrics, and customer engineering. Follows the quality management system designated work instruction and procedures to ensure quality product is manufactured.
Minimum of 2 years of knowledge and experience in a Quality Assurance role with product acceptance authority. Must possess experience using different precision measurement instruments.
Position responsibilities include providing training, learning and development where appropriate for all employees; partnering with other departments to ensure the adherence to the Quality Management System and other compliance requirements; collaborating with operations, leaders, purchasing, customer service and others to efficiently meet customer demands; excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact and deal with internal customers; inspecting and evaluating product for quality and defects; providing visibility to Production and Quality supervision of potential quality issues, as well as input on internal perceptions associated with Quality and Delivery performance; working with Production and Quality Assurance personnel to perform in process review and assure best practices are followed; performing other related duties, as required to ensure product conformity, internal and external customer demand, best practices and adherence to compliance requirements; completing AS9102 FAIs as required; ensuring products manufactured meet all customer and internal requirements.
Tasks include the capability to troubleshoot complex and questionable inspections by asking the right questions to get to the root cause of the problem; ability to work in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities and shifting time requirements; making decisions based on customer/regulatory requirements; ability to effectively communicate in small and large group environments; conferring with organizational team members at all levels to discuss issues, coordinate activities or resolve problems; acting as liaison between organization and outside organizations; working closely with shop floor supervision and employees; performing 1st part, Oversight, and Final Inspections; completing detailed and accurate FAIs; ability to pass an eye exam.
