At WSU Tech, we seek an Adjunct Faculty member in Avionics who can provide top-notch instruction and guidance in this critical area of aerospace technology./ppPosition Overview:/ppThe Adjunct Faculty in Avionics will be responsible for teaching courses in avionics technology, including but not limited to aircraft electrical systems, communications, navigation systems, and troubleshooting techniques. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of avionics principles and a track record of using their knowledge to foster student achievement./ppKey Responsibilities:/pulliTeach theoretical and practical components of the avionics curriculum to prepare students for industry certifications./liliFacilitate hands-on laboratory experiences that complement classroom instruction and enhance student understanding of avionics systems./liliMaintain current knowledge in avionics technologies and integrate this knowledge into course content to keep the curriculum relevant./liliDevelop and implement assessment tools to evaluate student performance and progress effectively./liliParticipate in program meetings and contribute to the ongoing improvement of the avionics program./liliAdhere to safety standards and best practices in all instructional activities./li/ulpRequirements:/ppQualifications:/pp- A Bachelors degree in Avionics, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field preferred. An Associate degree combined with significant industry experience may be considered./pp- Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant (AP) certification, as well as relevant avionics certifications, are highly desirable./ppExperience:/pp- Minimum of three years of experience in avionics maintenance, installation, or design, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of avionics systems./pp- Previous teaching or training experience in a formal educational setting is preferred but not required./ppSkills:/pp- Strong technical knowledge of avionics systems, troubleshooting, and repair methodologies./pp- Excellent communication and teaching skills to effectively engage and inspire students./pp- Ability to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment./pp- Familiarity with current teaching technologies and educational tools is advantageous./p/div
