divh2Assistant Womens Volleyball Coach/h2pNewman University is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Womens Volleyball Coach to support the development and success of our NCAA Division II womens volleyball program. This position plays a vital role in coaching, recruiting, and mentoring student-athletes while promoting Newmans Catholic mission and values./ph3Key Responsibilities:/h3pAssist in coaching and managing all aspects of a competitive NCAA Division II womens volleyball program, including practices, game strategies, and player development./ppSupport recruiting and retention of qualified student-athletes in compliance with NCAA regulations./ppInstruct student-athletes on physical health, team concepts, and safety, while fostering academic and personal growth./ppCollaborate with Athletic Performance coaches to implement conditioning programs./ppPromote psychological, social, and mental skills for success on and off the court./ppEnsure compliance with NCAA Division II, MIAA Conference, and institutional rules./ppAssist with scheduling, travel arrangements, and operational planning./ppParticipate in fundraising, community engagement, and promotional activities./ppServe as a positive role model, demonstrating ethical and professional conduct aligned with Newmans mission./ph3Qualifications:/h3pBachelors degree preferred; some college required./ppValid drivers license and ability to pass a motor vehicle check./ppCollegiate playing experience preferred./ppStrong knowledge of volleyball fundamentals and ability to teach critical skills./ppEffective communication and interpersonal skills./ppFamiliarity with NCAA Division II rules and ability to pass annual recruiting certification./ppAbility to work evenings and weekends as needed./ppFirst Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)./ppMust be legally authorized to work in the U.S./ph3Why Join Newman University?/h3pAs part of our mission-driven community, youll help empower graduates to transform society while fostering an inclusive environment that respects diverse faiths and cultures.
