Position Summary - Banquet Set-Up (Part-Time)

The Banquet Set-Up team is responsible for the accurate and efficient arrangement, breakdown, and maintenance of all function rooms, public function areas, service corridors, and storerooms. This role ensures all spaces are kept clean, orderly, and safe, contributing to successful event execution and guest satisfaction.
Position Type & Hours

• Part-Time
• Due to operational demands, shift days, start times, and weekly hours may vary.

Essential Job Functions

• Set up and break down all meeting and banquet functions correctly and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of function spaces and storage areas at all times.
• Return all equipment to designated storage areas, clean and in good condition, before end of shift.
• Check all electrical hook-ups for safety and functionality; tape down any exposed cords.
• Refresh meeting rooms during scheduled breaks.
• Provide assistance to guests when possible, and refer any complex requests to a supervisor.
• Perform regular deep cleaning of banquet areas.
• Be knowledgeable about the different room setup configurations for each function space.
• Ensure room temperature and lighting are properly adjusted and fully operational.
• Possess basic knowledge of AV equipment and assist AV personnel or guests as needed.

Required Education & Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous labor-intensive work experience is preferred.
• Strong time management and task prioritization skills.
• High attention to detail, cleanliness, and safety.
• Must be fluent in English.
