This is a remote role./ppAAPC is the worlds largest training and credentialing organization for the business of healthcare, with more than 200,000 members worldwide who work in medical coding, medical billing, clinical documentation improvement, medical auditing, healthcare compliance, revenue cycle management, and practice management./ppAAPC is seeking candidates for online Teaching Assistant (TA) for their Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT). TAs needed for the following course Certified Professional Biller Training./ph3Duties and Responsibilities/h3ulliProvide (one-on-one) mentoring to assigned students in courses as specified in the contract/liliGuide students to the prescribed course material/liliObserve and evaluate assigned individual student performance in meeting course objectives and learning outcomes through assignments, practical assignments, quizzes or examinations; provide feedback in a timely manner on student progress/liliUse AAPCs learning management system to access syllabus, assignments, and other materials and to communicate with students/liliUse AAPCs virtual classroom platform to participate in live sessions assisting faculty conducting the session/liliMentor students using a variety of teaching styles and provide interesting and engaging assignments that demonstrate the real-world applications of concepts covered/liliBe available for student consultation through office hours or scheduled appointments using AAPCs virtual platform or by phone or email/liliAttend one or more orientation sessions to become familiar with AAPCs policies and procedures and the learning management system/liliRespond to students coaching questions within 48 hours of receiving questions./li/ulh3Qualifications/h3ulliCurrent and valid certification in Certified Professional Coder Certified Professional Coder/liliPrior teaching experience in corporate training, particularly to adult students desirable/liliPrior experience teaching online desirable/lili2-3 years production coding or auditing experience/li/ulh3Skills and Knowledge Required/h3ulliCurrent knowledge of the relevant discipline/liliDemonstrated effectiveness in teaching adult learners/liliCommitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring students/liliAbility to use technology effectively in teaching/liliAbility to communicate effectively both orally and in writing/liliGood organizational skills and timeliness in responding to student inquiries/liliAbility to establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships with students and colleagues/liliFor online teaching, experience with teaching fully online or in hybrid format/li/ulpWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
