As a home provider, you will share your home with an individual with a disability, ensuring a safe and healthy environment while mentoring and assisting them with daily living tasks.

Your duties will focus on:

• Assisting with daily tasks like cooking, cleaning, laundry, budgeting, and decision-making.
• Supporting skill acquisition and fostering independence.
• Participating together in community activities and engagement.
• Providing individualized support based on each person's unique needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting various tasks including medication administration and attending medical appointments.
• Keeping daily documentation using our web-based case management application.
• Encouraging community inclusion and providing enjoyable leisure activities.
• Ensuring compliance with all state and agency policies.
• Communicating effectively with your team as needed.
• Offering transportation for the individual served.

Additional responsibilities based on your preferences may include:

• Assisting with bathing, toileting, feeding, or providing positive behavioral support.
• Supporting complex medical needs like seizures or specialized feeding protocols.
• Engaging with individuals who may have behavioral challenges.

Requirements:

• Must be a resident of Kansas.
• Have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, car insurance, and current registration.
• Active home or renter's insurance.
• Must own or rent a suitable home/apartment.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Experience preferred but not required.
• Access to a reliable computer and internet.
• Completion of all state-mandated training.
• Maintain an environmentally safe and clean residence.
• Ability to pass State/Federal and APS/CPS background checks.
