Job Details

This is manual work in grounds, building, equipment, and landfill maintenance and operation activities. As work experience is gained, employees may be assigned to somewhat more difficult tasks and/or cross-trained to assist and serve as a backup for the Equipment Operator I position. Work is performed under the direction of a supervisor who issues general instructions for routine jobs and specific instructions at the beginning of each new job when departures are made from established procedures. The days and hours for this position is: Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 5:30 pm and alternating Saturdays 7:00 am - 5:00 pm Bargaining Unit: Service Employee's International (SEIU) - - Posting may close at any time - - Examples of Work Performed Directs traffic at and around the working face of a construction and demolition (C&D) landfill. Monitors and sorts materials brought into a C&D landfill. Assists skilled and semiskilled workers in varied building maintenance and repair activities.
