Analyst Material Requirement

Description:

To maintain system integrity of material requirements and replenishments, optimizing inventory levels, production capacity, and material management. Trains, guides, and instructs Material Requirements Planner Associate level employees.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Following MDIs and Standard Work Instructions, perform a variety of analytical duties to determine material requirements and approve demand/supply for raw materials, purchased, and manufactured materials.
  2. Determine MRP policies and maintain inputs for material ordering and control.
  3. Release replenishments and drive requirements through the MRP system.
  4. Utilize bills of materials, master schedules, production schedules, aftermarket forecasts, manufacturing planning, engineering information, and departmental guidelines to determine adequate material quantities to ensure on-time supply to customers.
  5. Review engineering, engineering changes, planning, and quality information for adjustments to production orders as required.
  6. Analyze shortage information to determine causes and apply corrective actions for long-term shortage resolution.
  7. Review excess material for possible use. Monitor and disposition excess inventory in support of business objectives.
  8. Act as a key contact for analysis of new orders, change orders, and net change analysis.
  9. Facilitate capacity analysis reviews cross-functionally to optimize work queues and level loading.
  10. Coordinate frequently with PC&L, Tooling, Supply Chain, Operations, Master Scheduling, Engineering, Manufacturing Planning, and After Market to obtain and provide information. May support shop floor control activities.
  11. Participate in area team walks and continuous improvement activities as required.
  12. Assist with training and cross-functional guidance as needed.
  13. Perform other related duties as required.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree required, or in lieu of degree, a minimum of 5 years of relevant scheduling, material, or production experience required.
  • CPM or CPIM certification recommended.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
  • SAP experience preferred.
